Viresh Agrawal is the accomplished Founder of Om Krishna
Services, the parent organization of
(http://www.sportsvidya.com) and
(http://www.omkrishnaservices.com). A lifelong
sports enthusiast and seasoned Sports Management Professional, Viresh is
committed to building a stronger, healthier society through sports and
envisions India’s rise as a global leader in the athletic arena.

An alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi, and
an MBA graduate from IIM-Ranchi, Viresh holds a diverse and rich academic
portfolio that also includes a Bachelor of Law from Vinoba Bhave University, a
diploma in Sports Management from Mad About Sports, and technical expertise
in Sportswear Technologies from AEPC, Tirupur. Additionally, he has done short
term courses on Sports Psychology, Fitness & Conditioning, Sports
Nutrition, and Internet Technologies.

Viresh’s tryst with sports began at a young age in
Jamshedpur, where he studied at Church School, D.B.M.S. School, and Loyola
School. At just seven years old, while in Class 2, he made his national debut
in Badminton, representing Bihar in the Under-14 Nationals. Throughout his
school years, he was a multi-sport champion, excelling in Badminton, Table
Tennis, Athletics, Football, Karate, Cricket, Shooting, Kabaddi, and
Basketball. He consistently secured top honors at District, State, and National
level competitions organized by institutions like XLRI, Tata Steel, and
national federations.

Recognizing his early potential, the Sports Authority of
India selected Viresh at the age of ten for advanced training at Army Public
School, Delhi, where he lived in the prestigious Ridgewood Hostel and trained
with top-tier athletes. He went on to win multiple medals at State and National
levels in Badminton, and participated in national training camps. He was
selected to represent India in international tournaments in Sri Lanka,
Malaysia, and Thailand, though the team’s participation was halted due to clearance
issues from the Sports Ministry.

After winning the School Nationals in Badminton in Class 12,
Viresh received offers from St. Stephen’s College, Hindu College, and SRCC, as
well as from SAI for elite training in Hyderabad. Choosing SRCC, he continued
to dominate the university circuit, winning medals at Inter-College, All India
University, and National level tournaments. He was also offered opportunities
to study and train abroad, including private sponsorships and university offers
from the UK and USA, but chose to contribute to India’s sports ecosystem.

Over the years, Viresh has remained a competitive athlete,
winning medals across multiple sports including Shooting, Badminton, Table
Tennis, Basketball, Football, and Athletics. He is a qualified Badminton coach,
having trained at the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy, and regularly
participates in “train the trainer” programs. One of his unique experiences
includes having played alongside Australian cricketer Ricky Ponting during a
special invitational event, a testament to his longstanding engagement with the
elite sports community.

Professionally, Viresh has worked with leading organizations
such as Modi Xerox, Toshali Resorts, NDTV, MTV, Walmart, Indiabulls, Francis
Wacziarg, Hi-Tech Mica, and 123DomainRegistry.com, across sectors including
media, event management, hospitality, retail, and apparel manufacturing. He has
led production and retail operations for top global brands like Nike, Adidas,
Reebok, C\&A Europe, and Target Stores, in India and abroad (including
Bangladesh and Nepal). His expertise spans sports infrastructure, equipment,
event organization, fitness tech, and sportswear manufacturing.

Among his notable achievements, Viresh was selected as the
flag bearer for India during the historic “40 Years of Freedom Run,” held in front
of then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, alongside sporting icons like Kapil Dev
and P.T. Usha. He also played a key role in organizing the Thomas Cup in India
and has appeared on television to provide expert analysis on athletes like
Saina Nehwal and Sachin Tendulkar, even being invited for commentary during the
India–South Africa match at Eden Gardens.

Today, as the founder of Om Krishna Services, Viresh is
focused on grassroots sports development, athlete mentorship, sports education,
and advisory services through platforms like www.sportsvidya.com. His mission
is to foster a robust sports culture in India, backed by world-class
infrastructure, coaching, and holistic development programs. Through his work,
he aspires to create a lasting impact on the future of Indian sports and
inspire the next generation of athletes, coaches, and sports leaders.
